Mr. Mohammad Mobasswer Hasan

Mr. Mohammad Mobasswer Hasan joined as Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate, Rangpur on 18 July 2023. Previously, he worked as Deputy Secretary (DS) in the Ministry of Public Administration, as DS and PS to senior secretary in the Public Security Division, Ministry of Home Affairs, in the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, In the Technical and Madrasah Education Division of the Ministry of Education, and in the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.

Mr. Mobasswer started his career 2008 as a BCS (Administration) Cadre officer, belonging to the 27th Batch. He has held important positions in the field of Administration. He served as Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate, PS to Divisional Commissioner, AC (Land), UNO, and Additional Deputy Commissioner in different districts and divisions.

Mr. Mohammad Mobasswer Hasan completed his SSC from Government Laboratory High School, Dhaka, and his HSC from Dhaka College. He earned a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from Dhaka Dental College, Dhaka University, and an MSc from the University of Birmingham, UK. His wife Mrs. Esrat Jahan, Senior Assistant Commissioner, Cabinet Division, belongs to the 30th BCS Administration Cadre. He is the father of a son and a daughter.
