Overview:
Shivchantra Itakumari, the eldest son of Rajaraya, the first zamindar of Itakumari, founded in the 19th century, is the founder of the zamindarbari. Then Shivchandra and Devi Chowdhurani led a revolt and protected the peasantry of Rangpur from the tyranny of Devi Singh.
