It is located in Sahabajpur mouza of Chandanpat union under Sadar upazila of Rangpur district, about 10.00 km straight west from the central bus terminal of Rangpur district. From the central bus terminal of Rangpur district, take the road to Parbatipur by bus or rickshaw / van and go straight west to the village of Sahabajpur (Bala Para) about 10.00 km away.
Details
This Shib temple was established by a Umakanta monk about one hundred years ago. Dr. Manoj Gitaraj (MB), son of Umakanta Bairagi, built the temple in English in 1940, which is still known as a place of pilgrimage for Hindus. Every year on the last Monday of the month of Baishakh in the Bengali year, Hindus gather here. Rural fairs are also held here on this occasion.
